We are working with a very long-standing and friendly small animal veterinary practice in Newcastle-Under-Lyme, Staffordshire that is looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join them in Lead Vet Role. This is a full-time permanent role that would suit a Veterinary Surgeon that is looking to take the next step in their career.

The Role and Candidate: 

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a full-time Veterinary Surgeon to lead our clients' friendly and loyal team. This is a full-time permanent role where you will be working an average of 39 hours per week, with a weekend rota of 1 in 6 full weekends.

You must be an experienced vet with a client-oriented approach and excellent communication skills, work to a very high standard both medically and surgically and have the drive and ambition to help develop this practice further. The ideal candidate will have at least 3-5 years' small animal practice experience.

This role requires a motivated vet to work confidently in a leadership position with the ability to make sound clinical judgement but also enjoy interaction with team members. Strong management and mentor skills are essential as you will play a crucial part within the team.

The Remuneration Package:

In return, our client is offering an excellent package that includes:

  • Salary package up to £55,000 dependent on experience
  • £5,400 accommodation allowance
  • Vehicle or £2,500 vehicle allowance
  • £1,500 CPD allowance with 3 days CPD leave
  • VDS, RCVS, BVA fees paid
  • A four day week plus 22 days annual leave plus bank holidays
