We are working with a three-site veterinary group in Scotland that is looking to recruit a small animal Veterinary Surgeon on a full-time permanent basis. This role is to join their practice that is between Falkirk and Edinburgh and would be suitable for a New Graduate Veterinary Surgeon.

The Practice:

They believe in treating every patient as if they were their own pet and giving them the same loving attention and care. They are a group of highly trained, experienced animal lovers who are devoted to giving patients the best care possible.

They are an RCVS accredited practice and a full practice member of the ISFM. This means they have met and maintain very high standards of practice and invest in keeping their team up to date with the latest developments in veterinary medicine.

Their current friendly and supportive team includes 5 vets, 3 RVNs, 2 Student Nurses and 2 ANAs, that all very close-knit and caring.

The Role:

This is a full-time permanent role where you will be working 4.5 days a week, this can be 4 days as our client can be flexible, with shifts times of 08:30-19:00 (the half-day would either finish or start at 13:00). The branches close at 18:00 but the vets may be needed until 19:00 for emergencies. The weekend rota is 1 in 5 Saturday mornings 08:30-14:00 and with no out of hour requirements, this provides a great work/life balance.

Your typical daily duties will include consults in the morning and mid-afternoon with operations in between and later if required. There will be periods of sole charge but support will be available if required.

There will an element of branch work required between our clients three practices and the practice ambulance is used for travel.

The Candidate:

Our client is looking for a New Graduate Veterinary Surgeon that is looking for a supportive practice to guide and support them in their new role. They are looking for someone that is eager to learn and has a great sense of humour. You will be a positive person that is wanting to progress and is a great interactive team player.

The Remuneration Package:

In return, our client is offering an excellent package starting at £30,000 p/a rising to £33,000 after 6 months that includes:
