Permanent Registered Veterinary Nurse, Bexley

We are working with a first opinion, two-site, veterinary practice based in the Bexley area of South East London looking for a full-time permanent Registered Veterinary Nurse. This role would suit an energetic and enthusiastic RVN that has great communication skills with clients and colleagues alike.

The Practice:

Our client is a first opinion, two-center, 100% Small Animal practice that provides service and veterinary care for dogs and cats with some guinea pigs & rabbits also being seen. They have on-site procedures, hospitalisation, full surgical and medical facilities. CR Radiography, Endo/Bronchoscopy (Video), Ultrasound, Idexxx up to date analyzers. The surgeries are both in residential areas and reputation is enhanced by the recommendation of their exciting clients. Their caseload is very busy and on average may examine 30-40 patients per day. The OOH service is located at Vets Now Thamesmead. They are proud to be an RCVS accredited and nurse training centre.

The role is to join a team of 5 Vets, 5 RVNs, 2 SVNs, and 2 reception support staff. 

The Role:

This is a full-time permanent position where you will work Monday - Friday either 8.30-17.30 or 9.30-18.30. 

There will be 1-2 Saturdays per month working 8.30/9.00-12.30

The role will cover all aspects of veterinary nursing and our client is looking for an RVN that will perform each duty with care and diligence.

The Candidate:

Our client is looking for a caring and understanding RVN who is a true team player who has a flexible but diligent approach to their work. You will have excellent communication skills with clients and colleagues alike. You will have excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to make timely decisions.

You will also be required to attend practice team functions, events shows, and fundraising events.

The Remuneration Package:

In return, our client is offering an excellent package that includes:

  • Salary from £24,000-£27,000 p/a (DOE)
  • Saturdays on a rota basis
  • Holidays 28 days per year including bank holidays.
  • CPD £500
