We are currently working with a well-established orthopaedic referral clinic based in a beautiful rural location by the sea in Fife, Eastern Scotland that are looking for a qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse. The position requires an enthusiastic, dedicated RVN preferably with some experience to work on a full-time or part-time permanent basis.
Our client is a well established orthopaedic referral clinic that is based in a beautiful rural location by the sea that are a thriving 1st opinion base also. They provide veterinary services for animals in the area and also specialist treatment for cats and dogs with orthopaedic and spinal problems referred from other veterinary practices throughout Scotland. The practice is a modern, state-of-the-art Veterinary Surgery that offers unparalleled veterinary care and treatment. They are a well equipped practice with in house laboratory diagnostics including biochemistry, haematology, microscopy, UPc analyser; Radiography with digital processor; Computed Tomography; Dental machine with dental Radiography; Ultrasound; multipatameter anaesthetic monitoring including BP, capnography and ECG. They are a training practice and do have nursing students from time to time.
Our client is offering a full-time or part-time permanent role for a qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse to become part of a diverse and highly experienced team of 5 Vets and 8 RVNS, an ANA and a team of receptionists. A varied role that includes:
- Work on a 7 week rotation between wards, 1st opinion and referral work.
- Occasionally may be asked to assist with reception duties
- There are late night duties but no out of hour emergencies as this is covered by Vets Now
- Nurses work a 1 in 7 weekend with a 1 in 7 Saturday morning enjoying a long weekend off in lieu in-between.
- General nursing duties will include inpatient nursing care, undertaking nurse clinics, anaesthesia monitoring, obtaining radio-graphs and CT images but full training will be provided.
