We are currently recruiting on behalf of a small animal practice based on the border of Essex and North East London who are looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join them in a Senior Role. This role would suit a vet with a minimum of 4 years post-graduate experience that has a good background in consultations and surgery.
Our client is a fully equipped RCVS accredited small animal independent practice with modern surgical and diagnostic facilities including, spacious consultation rooms, surgical suites using state of the art monitoring equipment, digital x-rays, ultrasound, in-house laboratory suite, hydrotherapy, separate cat and dog wards, isolation facilities, free parking, climate-controlled building, disabled access and facilities, and a training room. The practice is modern and easily accessible from Essex and London. They are a training practice for both vets and nurses and have a large team of experienced vets and veterinary nurses providing excellent veterinary care for small animals and exotic animals. Known for their quality Veterinary care, they recognise that pets are “Family members”, “beings in their own rights”, little furry people. With this in mind, they set about attracting like-minded professionals to their team.
This is a full-time permanent role where you will part of a 6-week rota working 08:00-18:00 or 11:00-21:00 4 days a week. As part of the rota, you will also work 1 in 3 weekends - Saturday 08:00-17:00 and Sunday 10:00-14:00. There are no first-line on-call duty but on-call backup and support to the vet team doing on-call (one night during the week and 1:3 weekends).
Your duties will include a mix of consultations and surgery (get consultation and surgery/inpatient time every day on a rota). Our client actively promote case continuity in a supportive multi-vet practice (9 other vets including a Clinical Director, two other Senior Vets, daily clinical rounds)
Our client is looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon that will take on a Senior Position within a very hardworking and friendly team. You will have a minimum of 4 years of post-graduate experience and be confident with consultations and surgery. Great communication skills are key in this busy and client/patient focus role.
