We are working with a small animal practice in Brighouse, West Yorkshire that is looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join them on a part-time permanent basis. This role would suit an experienced RVN that has excellent customer services and communication skills.

The Practice:

This is a friendly team of 3 Vets, 4 RVNs and 4 admin support who are managing a complex caseload which is increasing all the time. They work to a gold standard, utilizing their in-house digital X-ray, IM3 dental X-ray, ultrasound, laboratory and surgical suite. Also now doing (and looking to develop) orthopaedic surgeries in-house. Certificate holder support. All OOH, inpatient care and additional clinical support from. They offer a good work-life balance and have supportive management and clinical support. They also have close links with their OOHs provider, allowing for continuity of patient care.

The Role:

This is a part-time role to cover Tuesdays 09:00-20:00 and Wednesdays 08:30-16:00 plus 1 in 3 weekends Saturday 09:00-18:00 and Sunday 10:00-16:00.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

Working closely with the clinical and non-clinical teams to deliver the best levels of patient and customer care, taking full ownerships or tasks and responsibilities

Manage and deal with bookings professionally and efficiently using RX Works

Green clients and their pets for appointments, being sensitive to their requirements and promoting a professional image at all times

Comply with all policies and procedures within the surgery, including Health and Safety Regulations

Calculate and administer medications and keeping accurate records

Assist the Veterinary Surgeon during surgical procedures

Prepare, identify and record results from radiography equipment

The Candidate:

You will have a good experience of veterinary nursing, excellent customer service, and communication skills, be an effective team player, have a systematic approach when making decisions and be able to carry out the role effectively with planning and organisation. You will be friendly, down-to-earth, have a genuine interest in animal welfare and enjoy the variety provided by the clients and colleagues alike.
