We are working with a small animal veterinary group in Preston, Lancashire that is looking for Veterinary Surgeons to join them on a permanent basis. These roles would be a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic Vet Surgeon to join our clients' amazing group! They are keen to consider all experience levels. If you are a more recent graduate, they have an amazing team who can offer you fantastic support, they are keen to work closely with you and tailor the support to your needs.
They currently have 17 wonderful practices across Lancashire, which all have a focus on high clinical standards, great client care, and the provision of their RCVS accredited hospital that offers a fantastic 24 hours veterinary service. Their sites are well equipped with digital x-ray, CT, endoscopy, ultrasound and in house lab machines, and they continue to invest in their people, equipment and premises. They have a wonderful vet team, including 5+ certificate holders and they hold regular in-house CPD events as a great opportunity to meet up, discuss cases and eat pizza! The group has a large and experienced Nursing team that is on hand to help as well as a terrific, friendly, support team! They actively encourage people to undertake certificate studies and will give you all the support you need to pursue your interests.
This practice has a busy but varied caseload and no two days are the same! They mainly offer first opinion care however, they do offer specialist services in; Cardiology, Dermatology, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedics, Imaging & Internal medicine. They are also proud to work with some fantastic local charities.
This is a full-time permanent position where you will be working 5 days a week, with hours between 09.30-18.00 and weekend rota of 1 in 12, part-time applicants are welcome too. There are some OOH requirements with this role, either 1st or 2nd on-call depending on experience with the rota split fairly. The night team consists of Vet, RVN, two ANAs on-site and a dedicated senior vet on the second call at all times.
As part of this role, you will be working between our clients 17 sites on a rotation basis. This gives you a fantastic mix and chance to get involved with routine, ECC and more specialist caseloads.

They pride themselves on building excellent relationships with clients by being friendly and helpful and offering excellent continuity of care, so they are looking for a vet that will fit in well within their hardworking team.

For more experienced Vet Surgeons perhaps considering a certificate, with a certificate already or with a specific area of interest then they also have the perfect caseload for you to put your skills into action!
