We are currently recruiting on behalf of a large Veterinary Hospital based in Oxfordshire. The practice is currently looking to recruit a small animal Veterinary Surgeon to join their team on a permanent basis.

The Practice:

Our client is proud to be an Accredited tier-three hospital practice under the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons’ Practice Standards Scheme. To become accredited, the practice has to be rigorously inspected every four years and has to meet a range of minimum standards including hygiene, 24-hour emergency cover, staff training and providing certain types of equipment. The practices main hospital is based in Oxfordshire and also has branch surgeries, all branches are accredited to Core Standards. They have facilities including X-Ray, Ultrasound, Endoscopy, ECG, fluid therapy, blood sampling in our on-site laboratory and 24-hour nursing care. At present, they consist of 9 vets, 6 qualified nurses and 3 trainees.

The Role:

This is a full-time permanent position, working 4 days a week, finishing 17:00, 18:00 or 19:00 on a rota basis. The shift pattern includes 1 in 7 weekends, plus weeknights, with time off in lieu. Some branch work involved in this role and sole charge. In return, our client is offering a competitive salary and benefits that include:

The successful candidate will have great communication skills. Be friendly and hard working. Also very ambitious and be confident with basic surgery.
