We are working with a busy veterinary practice based in the West of Edinburgh, Scotland that is looking to recruit a Senior Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.
Our client has been looking after the pets in Scotland for over 50 years and is supported by their RCVS accredited hospital-based in Dunfermline. Their small friendly and caring team has built a reputation on pet-focused care and exceeded client expectations as they deliver the finest and most compassionate care around. Across the group of practices, together they're fully equipped with digital x-ray, ultrasound scanner, dental machine, pulse oximeter and infusion pump. The practice has a laboratory to allow in-house testing, this includes haematology, biochemistry, snap reader, microscope, centrifuge. We have a prep room, theatre, and separate cat and dog wards.
This is a full-time permanent role for a Senior Veterinary Nurse. Ideally, you will work 40 hours per week Monday - Friday either 5 x 8 hour days or 4 x 10 hour day and 1 in 3 Saturday mornings, confident being sole charge nurse supported by ACA, Receptionist, and Vet. The role will involve all aspects of veterinary nursing, answering emails, stock ordering, monitoring budgets and costs, maintaining SOP's and practice standards.

The ideal candidate will need to be a qualified Senior Registered Veterinary Nurse with interest or experience in administration and managerial tasks advantageous. Happy to work on own and as part of a team. Have the ability to line manage the ACA and manage holiday requests. Experience in stock ordering, writing and maintaining SOP's and health and safety would be preferred.
