We are working with a mixed animal practice in Perthshire that is looking to recruit a full or part-time permanent Registered Veterinary Nurse on a permanent basis. The role is for the small animal practice and together they are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic RVN to join their friendly team. 

The Practice:

This practices endeavours, at all times, to be a caring, efficient and approachable practice. They provide the best care and attention possible for their clients and patients. It is a long-established practice and is pleased to have provided animal healthcare services to generations of local clients and their companions and livestock.

They are a Tier 2 practice in the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons accreditation scheme, offering a full general practice service for large and small animals.

The surgery provides a total veterinary care and treatment facility, including surgery, hospitalization, radiography, ultrasonography, endoscopy, microchip implantation, as well as dental services and laboratory testing.

The Role:

This is a full-time permanent role where you will be working 38 hours and a 4 day week would be possible. Monday to Friday with 1 in 5 Saturdays. All general nursing duties to be undertaken including anaesthetic monitoring, inpatient care, radiography, in-house lab testing. The nurse consults to include laser therapy, obesity management, etc with scope to expand the variety of consults available to their clients. Candidates are expected to maintain high clinical standards and undertake infection control and equipment maintenance. No out of hours but paid overnight inpatient check may be required on a rotational basis. A part-time role will also be considered.

Our client is looking for someone with great communication skills and is passionate about promoting preventative health care in patients. The successful applicant will be qualified and registered with the RCVS. Those recently qualified are welcome to apply. They are looking for someone enthusiastic, positive and organised with a high standard of patient care. An interest in developing nursing consults alongside our veterinary team would be advantageous.
