We are currently working with a charming RCVS accredited, independent practice that is based in a beautiful part of Berkshire. The dedicated and caring team of professionals is looking to recruit a small animal Veterinary Surgeon to join them on a permanent basis.
The Practice:
Our client offers specialist services for companion and some farm animals from their three well-equipped clinics based in West Berkshire. They have a varied surgical and medical caseload with clinical freedom to work-up cases to a high standard. They have a loyal client base and their pets' health is paramount to them, and as such, they have built their reputation based on the delivery of care and treatment to the highest standard. Their team of 4 Vets, 10 Nurses, and 4 support staff offer routine neutering, orthopaedic and soft tissue surgeries. Their modern facilities include the latest technology e.g. radiography, ultrasound, ECG, blood analysis, urine analysis, microscopy, blood pressure, digital X-ray and their Idexx In house laboratory.
The Role:
This is a full-time (although part-time working would also be considered) permanent small animal veterinary post on a rota basis, working 3 days 09.00-19.00 and 2 days a week working 09.00-17.00. The weekend rota is 1 in 4 full weekends and 1 in 4 Saturday mornings with no OOHs although some sole charge is required when working at one of the branches, however, another Vet will always be on hand at the end of the phone if needed. This is essentially a small animal practice with a very small percentage of large or equine work should the successful candidate wish to undertake some mixed work.
The Candidate:
The ideal candidate will be a well -rounded, confident, client-led, small animal Veterinary Surgeon with excellent communication skills. Ambition, enthusiasm and an interest and desire to work towards a certificate would be encouraged. You will be joining a friendly team in an excellent atmosphere and in return, the practice is offering an excellent & flexible package which is subject to skills and experience, plus a generous CPD allowance, professional fees paid, private healthcare and pension.
