We are working with a two practice veterinary group that is looking for a small animal Veterinary Surgeon to join them on a full-time permanent basis. Our client is looking for a Veterinary Surgeon that has at least 1-year post-graduate experience that will be confident in a role that has some periods of sole charge.

The Practice:

These two practices are based in the lovely Welsh area of the Vale of Glamorgan and are approximately 5 miles apart. They are only a short drive away from Cardiff and the seaside which gives you a great diversity of places to visit in your downtime from work. These small animal practices have a supportive team of two experienced and knowledgeable Vets one of whom does Orthopaedics, a friendly nursing team of four and a receptionist. Both practices have well-equipped facilities and see a varied caseload.

Our clients' mission is to deliver progressive, around the clock care that means their employees have the very best equipment and treatment options available, including in-house MRI machines and state-of-the-art operating theatres. They provide ongoing support to their teams, both in practice and through their dedicated training centre. This empowers you to get the very best from the advanced equipment while being on your journey to veterinary excellence.

The Role and Candidate:

This fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Veterinary Surgeon to join our clients' team that is based between two small animal practices. The role is a full-time permanent role where you will be working shifts of either 09:00-19:00 or 09:00-18:00 with 1 in 3 half weekends.

The successful candidate will have at least one year of post-graduate experience in a small animal practice. You must have a client-oriented approach and excellent communication skills, work to a very high standard both medically and surgically and have the drive and ambition to help develop these branches further.

The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic team player and have a passion for delivering outstanding care to your patients, as well as a first-class service to your clients. Some sole charge (consulting only) will be required.

In return, our client is a Competitive Salary Package that is reflective of experience.
