We have a fantastic opportunity for a small animal Veterinary Surgeon to join a practice in Hucknall, Nottinghamshire on a full-time permanent basis (part-time applications would also be considered). Our client is looking for a vet with a minimum of two years of small animal practice experience that enjoys clinical freedom and is comfortable with mot surgeries.
The practice is located just a short drive from the vibrant Nottingham City Centre, with great transport links available. You will be working as part of a driven team of 4 vets and a large team of nurses and support staff within a fast-paced environment. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a busy first opinion practice that works closely alongside our clients’ referral practice. This is a full-time permanent position for a small animal Veterinary surgeon., where you will be working 4 days per week with a weekend rota of 1:3 half weekend or 1:6 full weekends. There are no out of hour requirements giving you a great work/life balance. Part-time applications would also be considered.
The Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for consulting, surgery, diagnosis, and treatment of patients, inpatient care, supporting reception and nursing staff with regards to clinical services, customer service, pricing and estimating fees, dealing with client concerns.
You will have a minimum of two years of small animal practice, being involved in the responsibilities described above, working with high volumes of patients. Ability to manage staff and deal with clients.
Registered with the RCVS to practice as a veterinary surgeon in the UK. English speaking to a good standard is essential.
The Remuneration Package:
In return, our client is offering an excellent salary and benefits package that includes the following salary package (dependent on experience):
Salary up to £50,000 p/a (DOE)
Accommodation Allowance: £6,600 per annum
Vehicle Allowance: £2,500 per annum
CPD allowance: £1,500 per annum
BVA, RCVS, and VDS fees paid
