We are working with a lovely group of mixed animal veterinary practices in Norfolk that is looking for a small animal Veterinary Surgeon to join their practice in Norwich. The role is part-time where you will be working every other Saturday morning sole charge consultations with opportunity for additional hours during the week, where the role will include routine operating procedures also.
This is a small network of practices that has 5 branches in total, all offering complete care for animals. The Norwich practice can care for all pet animals from rabbits, guinea pigs, gerbils, hamsters, rats, caged birds and tortoises to dogs and cats. Their veterinary team is able to offer excellent advice on animal care to increase awareness of common problems and therefore minimise the necessity for regular visits. The practice has built up a reputation as one of the very best in the area and continues to hold true to that reputation with a regular and steady influx of family pets being brought to the expertise of the vets and nurses.
The Candidate and Role:
All experience levels or Veterinary Surgeon would be considered for this role. You will have the versatility to blend consultations and surgery and assist others as required. Strong communication skills and interest in Small Animal Medicine is required. You must be able to drive and have your own car as house visits may be required and happy to have sole charge of the surgery at times.
The role is every other Saturday morning sole charge consultations with opportunity for additional hours during the week, where the role will include routine operating procedures also. You will be working alongside a Clinical Director and a strong team of support staff including 1 RVN and 1 SVN. Facilities on-site include radiography, ultrasound and in house laboratory.
