We are currently working with a delightful RCVS accredited independent veterinary practice based in North Wiltshire - near to Chippenham. The owner is looking for a dedicated, smart, keen small animal veterinary surgeon to join their existing team.
This practice consists of two clinics and has a committed, friendly, and supportive team of 3 vets, 3 RVNs, and a support team. They have been established some time in the area and have sustained an excellent reputation for providing a high standard of care. They are experiencing a period of growth with clients encouraged by their values and management of their pets. Their services and facilities include Full Operating Facilities, In-House Laboratory, Blood Tests, Radiology, Scanning, extremely good Ultrasound machine, Haematology, Biochemistry, Orthopaedics, Cardiology, Endoscopy, Referrals, Cat Neutering, Dog Neutering, Health Checks, New Puppies & Kittens, Micro-Chipping, Inoculations, Fertility, Breeding, Dietary Advice, Ageing Pets, Dental Hygiene, Pet Passports, Pet Cremation. They have a willingness to invest in new equipment for a veterinary surgeon with special interests and who wishes to develop further.
It is a full-time permanent position although the owner may consider a veterinary surgeon who wishes to work part-time. The hours of work are Mon-Fri at the main branch working 8.30 - 19.00 and Mon -Thurs 9.00 - 19.00 at their branch clinic. With only 1:4 Saturdays 9.00 - 13.00 and no OOHs, as this is handled by Vets Now, this role supports a good work/life balance. Occasional sole charge required so you must be comfortable with this. Accommodation can be provided on-site which includes a bedroom, bathroom and shared kitchen during the day.
This is a friendly practice the owner who is also the senior vet is very congenial with a wealth of veterinary knowledge & experience gained working over the years in practice. She is happy to listen and would encourage further growth and development in line with the vet’s interests and needs and requirements of the practice. Ideally, the small animal veterinary surgeon will have no less than at least one to two year’s veterinary experience. They will need to be able to demonstrate their ability to be competent in all aspects of medicine, diagnostics, and cope with most routine cases. The candidate will need to display their willingness to be part of their team and to embrace the opportunity offered while offering their clients a first-class experience.
Our client is offering an excellent package in return for your hard work and dedication which includes:
- A competitive salary of £33,000 - £45,000 p/a negotiable subject to skills and experience
