We are currently working with a lovely two branch practice in the Doncaster area of South Yorkshire that is looking for an experienced or senior Veterinary Surgeon (with the potential of becoming a CD in future) on a full-time permanent basis.
Our client is based in Doncaster, South Yorkshire and they consist of two surgeries. Doncaster is a large town, well connected with London 90 minutes away, on the North East mainline, and with York, neighbouring Sheffield, and the Peak District National Park beyond.
Despite that expansion, this small group has retained its family flavour, with many family members being part of this lovely welcoming team. They are proud to think of their clients and patients as an extension of the family. That dedication to the Doncaster community extends beyond just excellent veterinary care. They are the official practice in Doncaster working with the local Cats Protection, and also support Dog’s Trust and the PDSA. Through our nurse’s clinics, they offer fast, affordable assistance for those little issues that don’t require a full consultation but help with which will improve your pet’s life.
Offering all the services you expect from a local small animal practice, with in-house laboratory and diagnostics facilities, they are a community-led, family-focused veterinary clinic serving the pets and people of Doncaster.
The Role and Candidate:
Our client is looking for an experienced or even senior small animal Veterinary Surgeon to join them on a full-time permanent basis. The role does not require OOH, though there would be a weekend with 8 hours Saturday, 5 Sunday: 1 in 6, with a full day off on the weekend following the long weekend, then 2 hours on a Saturday 1 in 6, and a half-day every week. They encourage vets to follow cases through and give continuity.
There is the potential for the right candidate to become a Clinical Director in the future.
In return for your hard work and dedication, our client is offering a competitive package that includes:
- Salary commensurate with experience.
- 5 weeks holiday plus bank holidays.
- Vets are expected to work bank holidays in a rota but receive the day in lieu.
- Fees paid
- Healthcare and pension plan.
