We are working with a two-branch practice in Leicester, who are looking to recruit two permanent full-time small animal Veterinary Surgeon, although part-time vets would be considered as part of a job share. The practice is a mixed practice that covers small animals and farm animals.
The Practice:
This practice is a mixed veterinary practice treating an array of both small animal and farm animals (not equine) 60% small and 40% farm.
Our clients are a medium-sized practice working across two sites, based in Leicester, currently staffed by eight vets who are supported by a team of Registered Veterinary Nurses, Nursing Auxiliaries, Receptionists, and Administrators. With modern diagnostic tools and surgical equipment, the practice aims to ensure all animals receive the best possible care, with the team providing their own out of hours service for continuous support. Their facilities include x-ray, ultrasound, endoscopy, ECG, Dental Suite, separate cat and dog wards, and capnography
The Role and Candidate:
Our client is looking to expand and move premises, so are looking for two enthusiastic Veterinary Surgeons to help them carry the practice forward to achieve these plans. There are two surgeries that offer their own OOHs service to their clients and the role will include OOH shifts One weekday night, if that is a Friday then includes Saturday mornings 8.30 am to 12.30 pm, one Sat/Sun weekend
Ideally, you will be working full-time, and most of their staff work a 4 day week, but they are prepared to be flexible with days worked, preferably covering their 8.30 am to 6.30 pm opening hours. The roles will include Saturday mornings on a rota basis.
