Permanent Veterinary Surgeon - Bramley

We are working on behalf of a client based in West Leeds, who is looking to recruit a permanent full-time (part-time hours would be considered) Veterinary Surgeon to join their busy practice.

The Practice:

Our clients' industry-leading practice with excellent facilities including lab, 2 operating theatres, pharmacy, digital x-ray, and ultrasound, is situated in the heart of Bramley located as a standalone surgery with ample parking in what used to be the old school building which is full of history and heritage belonging to the local area. The dynamic clinical team already consists of a 1 full-time Vet, 3 nurses a practice manager, and a supportive team of non-clinical colleagues, all of whom are passionate about providing the very best care for their clients and patients and being at the heart of the local community. This practice continues to develop and grow and would be ideal for an ambitious vet who is looking to develop their skills including in areas of special interest.

The Role:

The position is a full-time one; however, our client will also consider part-time for the right candidate. The full-time hours are up to a 40 hour week to span 7 days and weekends on a rota basis. You’ll need to feel completely confident in sole charge but there is no OOH requirement. An interest in surgery is particularly welcomed as is an interest in orthopaedics but the latter is not absolutely necessary.

The Candidate:

Ideally, you will have around 2-5 years’ good medical and surgical experience, and looking to consolidate your position. You’ll have strong communication and interpersonal skills and genuinely enjoy interacting with your clients and their animals.

The Package:

As you would expect from the market leader in small animal veterinary care, our client offers a supportive and friendly working environment together with career development opportunities and an excellent package that includes:

  • Salary of up to £60,000 p/a (DOE) FT
  • Relocation package of up to £3,000
  • Enhanced annual leave of 28 days including bank holidays rising to 33 days including bank holidays after 2 years’ service; plus annual birthday leave
  • Contributory pension scheme, private medical insurance, and life assurance 4 x annual salary
  • Generous CPD
  • Paid memberships (RCVS, BVA, VDS)
  • Childcare vouchers
  • Exclusive company discounts and rewards
