We are working with a practice based in Leeds, West Yorkshire, that is looking to recruit a small animal Veterinary Surgeon on a full-time, permanent basis. You will be an experienced vet, with interests in ECC, Medicine or Imaging preferred.

The Practice:

This is a modern and progressive veterinary practice, now in its 6th year of opening. The bright, air-conditioned surgery is purpose-built to industry-leading standards and has state of the art equipment including dedicated operating theatre, digital X-ray/in-house laboratory/ultrasound facilities.

They are a lovely, friendly team with great communication, management, clinical support and they work to a gold standard. They also offer a good work-life balance. They are proud of their purpose-built dental suite and ISFM Gold Standard clinic and cattery. They also provide OOH service for eleven of the group practices in the region (ECC, in-patient care, and referral work standard.

The Role and Candidate:

This is a permanent full-time position where you will be working 40 hours per week with a weekend rota of 1 in 4 (Sat and Sun 9-7:30), this includes a static rota with the same day off during the week. There is no sole charge or out of hour requirements (this is covered by a separate team).

The Weekday shifts rotate around consulting, surgery, and in-patient/ECC. for eg.:

9-8 consulting shift

9:30-8 consulting shift

3-10 pm consulting shift (inpatient transfers, ECC in busy OOH hospital)

7:30-3:30 inpatient care, dentistry, and surgery shifts

9-4:30 surgical shift

Competent candidates need only apply. Used to (or want to) work in a busy practice with large case-load, with high client demand for thorough (gold-standard) case-works up (over 60% clients insured), specialising with in-patient care, ECC, referral orthopaedic/soft-tissue surgery, endoscopy, platelet therapy, referral dental work. 2:1 qualified RVN to vet working ratio. Ideal for candidates with interests (and/or wanting to advance) in Dentistry, Medicine, ECC, Ultrasonography. Certificate holders welcome.
