We are working with an established small animal veterinary practice that is based south of Sunderland in County Durham that is looking to recruit experienced Veterinary Surgeons. Due to the continuing expansion of the practice our client is looking full-time and part-time vets to join them on a permanent basis.

The Practice:

This is a small, friendly, independent practice, that provides individual care for dogs, cats, rabbits, and other companion animals. Their objective is to provide a complete healthcare package for their clients’ pets which includes the following: vaccinations, nurse clinics & puppy parties, behavioural advice, neutering, micro-chipping, pet dentistry, surgical procedures, radiography & cruciate repair. Their facilities include Digital imaging facilities, ultrasound, endoscope, diathermy, ECG & BP Monitoring, dental equipment, in house Idexx lab suite.

You will be able to develop your skills, enjoy the clinical flexibility of independent practice, manage and follow through your own caseload & maintain client continuity, whilst being part of a small close-knit team. They have qualified support staff, all the usual toys, Animana practice management system, and great clients!

The Role and Candidate:

Due to expansion, our client is looking for a Veterinary Surgeons to join them on a permanent basis, which can be either full or part-time. The full-time role would be 4 days a week (38hrs 8.30 am to 6.30 pm inc 30min lunch break) and the part-time would be 2 to 4 days a week (either full or half days or a mix of both). With flexible working - you can alternate the number of days/hours you work week on week!!

There will be some Saturday morning (08:30-12:00) which is on a shared rota and will involve consults only.

There are no out of hours or on-call with these roles giving you a great work/life balance.

You will an experienced Veterinary Surgeon that can work well within a team and provides excellent service to your clients and their pets. Our client is looking for a Vet with between 2 to 3 years post-graduate experience that is comfortable within a sole charge position.
