We are currently recruiting on behalf of a large, well-established small animal practice near Hampstead in North West London who is looking to recruit a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join them on a full-time permanent basis.

The Practice:

This is a friendly, independent practice located in North West London. Their clients are insured, high-end clients with a strong human-animal bond. Their pets are a very important part of their family. These clients require thoroughness and attention to detail in every aspect of practice service and clinical approach. They are looking to recruit a veterinary nurse to work within a supportive team.

The practice use visiting specialists in ultrasonography, orthopaedics, and complex soft tissue surgery, dentistry (root canal treatment, etc.), and cardiology. 

The team currently consists of 2 vets, 3 nurses, 3 receptionists, and 3 cattery assistants.

As an independent practice in North London, they are able to offer a very personal touch to the care and service they offer clients and their beloved pets.  As a member of the team of an independent practice, you can also benefit from this. You will be encouraged to bring new ideas to better enhance your experience as a veterinary nurse as well as use your qualification to its full potential

The Role: 

This Registered Veterinary Nurse role involves the general patient and client care as well as assisting the general practitioners. They offer a referral specialist service in cardiology, ultrasonography, orthopaedic, and soft tissue surgery.

The practice is client-driven and customer service is at the forefront of our standard of care, practicing current and up to date medicine in well-equipped surroundings. There will be plenty of opportunities to perform nurse clinics as well as triage of patients, nutritional advice, and using your knowledge to give advice and support to owners while their pets are undergoing surgery or medical treatment as well as caring for inpatients. 

You must enjoy client and patient interaction and have a desire to help people. Excellent interpersonal skills are essential and you must be passionate about veterinary nursing.

This is a full-time permanent role where you will be working 40hours per week which will include 1:3 Saturdays with time off in lieu.

There are no out of hours giving you a great work/life balance.
