We are working with a well-established friendly independent small animal veterinary practice in Orpington, Kent that due to growth in the practice is looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join them on a full-time permanent basis. They are looking for a vet with at least 1 year of in practice experience that focuses on delivering excellent services to patients and their owners.

The Practice:

Our client is a well established first opinion Small Animal veterinary clinic in Orpington with a dedicated commitment to providing a caring, high quality preventative and therapeutic veterinary treatment for pets together with a friendly and professional service to their owners. In the last few years, the practice has attained " training practice " status and has also invested in equipment and staff training to make sure only the highest standards of veterinary care and services are provided to their patients.

They are proud to provide the following veterinary services :

  • Vaccinations ( Dogs/ Cats/ Rabbits )
  • Worming/parasite prevention and treatment
  • Neutering ( Spay/ Castration )
  • Soft tissue surgery
  • Orthopaedics ( specialist visits )
  • Cardiology ( specialist visits )
  • Dentistry
  • Microchipping
  • Diagnostics ( Digital radiography/ Ultrasound/ In house blood tests and laboratory )

The Role and Candidate:

This is a permanent full-time Veterinary Surgeon position where you will be working with a friendly team in a patient-focused environment. The exact working pattern will be discussed in the interview with the opening time of the practice being Monday-Friday 08:30-18:00 and Saturday 08:30-13:00. There are no out of hour requirements with this role and the weekend rota is 1 in 3, supporting a great work/life balance. There is no branch work or sole charge included in this role and they run on 15 minutes consults.

They are looking for a vet with at least 1 year of post-graduate experience that has excellent communication and client skills. You will work well as part of a team with a focus on excellent service provision.

In return, our client is offering a competitive benefits package that will be discussed in the interview and will include a competitive salary of £30,000-£33,000 p/a dependent on skills and experience.
