We are working with a friendly practice based in Glasgow that is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join them for a temporary role covering maternity leave on a fixed-term contract.
The Practice
The practice is purpose-built and based on the south side of Glasgow, close to a great selection of local amenities including Pollok Park. There is plenty of free onsite parking and they are well-located for transport links into the city. The surgery is modern and well-equipped with theatre, digital X-ray, and laboratory facilities, as well as 3 consulting rooms and separate dog, cat, and isolation wards.
They are a close-knit team comprising of 3 vets, 2 veterinary nurses, 1 student veterinary nurse, 3 receptionists, and a practice manager. They share a love of pets and a common goal of providing the highest standards of healthcare for patients, as well as providing a supportive working environment for each other.
The Role and Candidate
They are looking for a friendly, versatile, and organised RVN with a genuine passion for the role. Excellent communication skills are essential, as well as confidence in all areas of general nursing and a keen interest in nurse clinics. Previous experience would be of benefit but not essential; new graduates are encouraged to apply as support can be offered.
This is a Fixed Term Contract starting ASAP - until July 2021, with a possibility of progression to a permanent role for the right candidate.
The hours required will be 40 hours per week over a rolling 3 weeks and will ideally include 1 in 3 full weekends, 2 out of 3 Sundays, and time off during the week.
The Package
Salary is dependent on experience but will be in the region of £20,000-£25,000 per annum. In addition, our client is offering:-
