We are currently recruiting on behalf of an independent group of 3 practices who require an additional Vet surgeon to join one of their branches at experienced, clinical director level to help grow and expand the surgery.
This small group of practices has an experienced and caring team of vets that put pets needs at the forefront of their minds and offer help and advice to keep clients happy and healthy. They insist on regular continuing professional development, membership of multiple veterinary organizations and journals, and hold regular practice meetings to ensure everyone keeps up to date with the latest thinking. They have a modern well-equipped practice with state of the art diagnostic tools include x-rays, ultrasound and blood pressure monitoring. Their in-house lab offers same-day results on a wide range of blood tests as well as allowing us to carry out urine analysis and microscopy. Their aim is to provide a high level of clinical care in a friendly and relaxed environment. Continuity of care is their approach so they will always endeavour to offer their clients a consultation to see the vet of your choice at a time that suits them. The new branch surgery in Corby and will be fitted with brand new state of the art first opinion practice facilities.
This is a full-time role, working 4 days per week with 1 night in 6 on call and 1 in 6 weekends.
OOHs are taken to the main practice near Peterborough where there are hospital facilities.
In return, the practice can offer a highly generous salary based on experienced up-to £60,000 + additional benefits including 3% pension, CPD, VDS, RCVS etc.
This ideal candidate will be a highly experienced Vet surgeon who is confident working sole charge and looking for a new opportunity to work and grow a rapidly developing practice. Candidates will need experience working sole charge, be a good team player, strong communication skills and confidence with both consults and routine surgeries.
