Critical - Emergency Critical Care Specialist - Residency Trained or Board Certified - New York, USA
We are working with a well-established and respected veterinary hospital in New York that is looking for a Board Certified Emergency Critical Care Specialist to join them on a full-time permanent basis. You will need to have or be eligible for a New York State License to be eligible for this role.
The Practice:
They are privately owned and strive to maintain a family-like atmosphere for both staff and clients. They do this by focusing on the goals defined in the mission and vision statements: always provide services based on the patient's needs. They continue to strive to improve the practice and add additional services on top of those that are known for including two board-certified internal medicine specialists, a board-certified surgeon, a board-certified oncologist, an on-site laboratory, a blood bank program, acupuncture, behavioural consultations, and of course 24-hour emergency and critical care.
These features have placed them in a position to offer continuous and consistent care, 24 hours a day/7 days a week. They treat pets during primary care/wellness visits, emergency situations, and those admitted to the hospital for diagnostics and supportive care. Today, they employ more than 120 staff members, all of whom work hard each day to meet the mission of the hospital.
The Role and Candidate:
The candidate must have a current New York State license or be license eligible, and have an Emergency Critical Care Specialist board certification or board eligible ACVECC/ECVECC.
Full-Time work schedules are generally 4-5 days per week. As a 24 hour/365 days a year facility, handling emergency and referral cases, it is very likely your work schedule will consist of some combination of days, evenings, and weekends, shifts. Emergency/overnight shift schedules are regularly offered. The rotas and shifts will be discussed at the interview.
