We are currently recruiting for an experienced Vet Surgeon to join a friendly, independently owned practice in Lincolnshire, who require an experienced and ambitious equine vet to join their team on a permanent basis with future partnership opportunities available for the right person. 

The Practice:
This 100%  equine practice is well-established in the area and can provide 24hour care to local horses, ponies, and donkeys. The practice is a 3 vet team, run by a highly experienced Veterinary Surgeon/practice owner with over 50 years veterinary experience working with a range of horse breeds, show yards, race yards, trainer and stud owners. The practice can also offer modern on-site facilities and diagnostic equipment.  Including portable digital x-ray and ultrasound, endoscopy and dentistry as well as services including castrations, lameness and other medical investigations, breeding and preproduction tests, routine microchipping, passports, vaccinations, vetting examinations and much more.

The Role:
This is a full-time position, 100% equine position, mainly ambulatory duties, however, there are facilities on site for minor procedures/in-patients,  (lose boxes, trotting areas etc).
Usual shift hours are 9am-5pm/6pm, with 1 in 2 nights on-call/holding the phone and 1 in 2 weekends.  
A large percentage of the caseload is leisure horses and ponies as well as some by point to point horses, local racing yards etc.

In return, the practice can offer a generous salary up-to £50,000 based on experience as well as a range of benefits including CPD, profit bonus, pension, business mileage etc.
There is also temporary accommodation available if you are relocating to the area.

The Candidate:
This ideal candidate will have experience in an ambulatory role previously and have ambitious to help drive and grow the practice.  There are future partnership opportunities available for the right person.

To qualify for this position, you must be fully registered with the RCVS and you must be eligible to work in the UK.
