Internal Medicine Specialist / Residency Trained (Maternity Cover) – Guildford

Ser4rch - Veterinary Specialists are working on behalf of a hospital that is looking for ECVIM / ACVIM Internal Medicine Specialists (or residency trained individuals) to join them for an initial six-eight months maternity leave contract to September 2022.

Practice:

  • The hospital is a beautiful purpose-built specialist hospital dedicated to advancing veterinary care through expert care, teamwork, clinical research, and compassionate client support.
  • The facilities are state-of-the-art and include a 160-slice CT scanner, C-arm fluoroscopy unit and interventional radiology suite, minimally-invasive surgical equipment, cystoscopy/endoscopy/bronchoscopy, a chemotherapy suite, separate chemotherapy preparation, and hood room, ultrasonography, digital radiography, and full in-house laboratory (see a virtual tour).

Role:

  • You would be joining a team of specialists (internal medicine, oncology, soft tissue surgery, anaesthesia, and diagnostic imaging), residents (surgery), interns (general, oncology, interventional radiology, and anaesthesia), nurses, auxiliaries, and clinical research assistants.
  • Maternity Cover Position - initial six-eight months maternity leave contract to September 2022

Candidate:

  • You should be a highly compassionate and dedicated individual who is determined to deliver the highest level of care to your patients.
  • The successful candidate will be working with a team of radiographers, an ECVDI Diplomate and a residency-trained radiologist, with use of an on-site 160-slice Toshiba Aquilion Prime CT (with Medrad Stellant Dual CT Injector/Certegra Workstation), a Philips Epic Elite ultrasound machine, and a Ziehm Vision FD Xograph fluoroscopy system.

Skills and Certifications:

  •  ECVIM / ACVIM Internal Medicine Specialists (or residency trained individuals)
  • The position would be ideally suited to individuals keen to develop skills in interventional radiology and endoscopy.
