We are currently working with a friendly, independent practice which is situated at the south edge of the North Downs within easy commute of central London to the north of the county and the ports of Dover and Folkstone to the south.  

Our client is looking for an enthusiastic keen small animal Veterinary Surgeon with the ability to mentor and lead their own team in their own branch. 

The Practice:
Our client is a growing practice with a main branch surgery based on traditional veterinary values.   They promise to treat their clients’ pets as if they were their own and to give them the lifelong care and love they deserve.  Their services include consultations (including nurse clinics), surgery & dentistry, a wide range of pet health and food products and 24 hr emergency cover.  They are equipped with modern technology and have a complete dental unit & utilise quality instruments, top of the range X-ray unit, ultrasound, ECG, in-house laboratory to check blood and other samples to aid in quick diagnosis.   

The Role:
This is a full-time permanent role working Monday to Friday 8.30 -18.30 sole charge. The weekend rota is 2:4 Saturday mornings 8.30-12 noon, long weekend Friday to Monday off every 3 - 4 weeks. There is no out of hour requirements and they are closed Sunday and Bank Holidays. 

The Candidate:
This is a fairly new practice and therefore requires a small animal vet with drive, enthusiasm, a certain amount of charisma and the ability to lead a team in order to build and develop it further.  The ideal applicant need not be that experienced, however, must be able to do bitch spays, caesarean sections etc. without any drama. The clinic has an experienced vet at their main branch who would be available to discuss cases at all times and supply support with regards to more complex surgery.   It really is about the attitude in that the successful candidate will have marvelous communication skills in spades and the energy and determination to move the practice forward.  The successful candidate will be well remunerated, highly competitive salary up to £60,000 (DOE) or 50% profit whichever is the greater + CPD + 6 weeks holiday.
