Role: Locum Veterinary Surgeon
Type: Mixed - 60% SA / 40% LA&E (or 100% SA considered)
Location: Invergordon, Scotland
Start Date: January 2021
End Date: Ongoing (block bookings considered)
Hours: Full time - day shifts (Monday-Friday, although a shortened week might be considered)
Duties: Will involve the busy period of lambing and calving (Feb-June). The equine duties will only involve first opinion work and are only about 3% of the large animal work.
Weekends: Yes, and will involve first on-call
Branch Work: Farm visits required
Out of hours: Yes, 1 in 3 - First on-call. You may need to support the new grad by being 2nd on-call also (if 100% SA this could possibly be negotiated)
Sole Charge: Yes, possibly helping to support a new graduate - so must be a competent vet
Accommodation: Yes, lovely flat above the practice. (partners allowed and well-behaved pets)
Vehicle: A shared practice van is available for practice work - farm visits, etc.
Skills/Experience: The practice is looking for a competent vet, esp to cover the lambing and calving season. There is a new grad at the practice and your help in supporting them may be needed. (Preferably minimum 2 years graduated)
Other Info: If you would consider working a few weeks at the practice before this Christmas the practice would actively support a 2-week trial
Pay Rate: Negotiable / Dependent on Experience
