We are currently working with a mixed veterinary practice with a small animal 50%/equine 50% split. They are currently looking for a permanent small animal vet to join their small animal team in Rufford, Lancashire.

They have expanded, have two sites, and are still growing into one of the north-west’s leading veterinary practices while ensuring they're compassionate, caring and friendly approach continues to put the needs of their clients first.
The group offers a wide range of affordable services to cover all small animal and equine needs. Their facilities include in house- laboratory, dental suite, diagnostic imaging, endoscopy, ICU suite, operating theatre and purpose built separate wards for dogs, cats and infectious patients. Whether it is preventative health care, such as vaccinations, flea control and worming, routine procedures or the treatment of serious medical conditions, this practice offers top quality expertise and advice.
This is a permanent full time small animal post working alongside 11 other vets and a team of dedicated nursing staff across the two sites.
The hours of work are Monday to Friday 9.00-19.00 working to 10 minute consults, with 1:4 weekends including on call and 1:4 OOHs during the week- some possible sole charge at times.
This is a very busy practice and would suit a candidate who is a good team player, keen to integrate with both clients and colleagues to build excellent working relationships. The practice would consider a recent graduate or an individual
with at least 2 years’ minimum small animal work experience. The ability to think clearly and calmly in a very busy working environment would be considered a distinct advantage.

Salary: Competitive (DOE) + CPD + RCVS+ VDS + private healthcare
To qualify for this position, you must be fully registered with the RCVS and you must be eligible to work in the UK.
