We are currently recruiting on behalf of a small animal/equine veterinary practice in Suffolk, that is looking for a small animal/equine (75% small, 25% equine) Veterinary Surgeon to join their team.

-              To work alongside a team of 7 Vets, and an excellent support team

The Practice:
Our client offers services and facilities including A new purpose built premises, in house laboratory, endoscopy, X-ray, ultra sound, ECG, Equine and small animal dentistry and an onsite farrier.  This is a Small Animal/Equine position consisting of 75% small animal and 25% equine and is to work alongside 7 Vets and an excellent support team of 3 RVN’s 1 trainee Nurse, and 3 animal care assistants. This is a general practitioner role, so the ideal candidate must have around 2 years of experience or be confident in basic surgical procedures. This is not a specialist role, as any complicated equine surgery is referred to another practice close by.

The Role: 
This is a full-time position, working Monday-Friday between 8.30-18.30. 
There is an on call rota, consisting of 1:5 week nights, and 1:5 1st on call working Saturday 8.30-13.00 and on call for the rest of the weekend, and 1:5 2nd on call working Saturday 8.30-13.00 then 2nd on call.

The ideal candidate must be a team player and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

In return, the practice can offer a competitive salary DOE starting from £26,000- £27,000 for a new graduate - up to £40,000 DOE. + 20 days holiday + Bank holiday + CPD + Accommodation or an allowance of £600 per month + vehicle

To qualify for this position you must be fully registered with the RCVS and you must be eligible to work in the UK.
