We are currently working with an established, independent country practice set in a lovely rural location in West Sussex yet convenient to London and to all major commuter links. They are looking to recruit a Small Animal Night Veterinary Surgeon to join their team.
The Client:
This is a purpose built RCVS accredited Tier 2 practice with a very loyal customer base. Their team includes 11 dedicated vets [including certificate holders], 6 senior nurses, 4 trainee nurses, 2 care assistants, 5 receptionists and 2 administrators. They accept referrals or first opinions for any exotic and cardiology cases. The practice is open 24/7 365 days a year and their investment in the latest technology means they can treat cats, dogs, and other domestic animals plus horses and other farm animals. They also deal with exotic species, including reptiles, birds, “small furries” and zoo animals. Apart from the routine services such as vaccination, microchipping, export certificates, pet passports, dental surgery etc., they offer a range of treatments including; Modern Anaesthesia, Isolation facilities, Ultrasound and Doppler, Video Endoscopes, Digital X -rays also with full hospitalisation facilities and an In-house laboratory with post-mortem facilities. They have also recently bought a CT scanner.
The Role:
This is a night position working Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday 20.00-08.00.
You will be working alongside and RVN, with a Vet on standby.
Candidate:
To qualify for this position, you must be comfortable with sole charge and be able to perform emergency surgery.
Ideally, you would have at least 5 years’ experience.

To qualify for this position you must be fully registered with the RCVS and you must be eligible to work in the UK.
