We are currently recruiting on behalf of a veterinary practice situated in West Yorkshire. The practice requires a veterinary surgeon to join the team on a permanent basis.
The position is with a first opinion small animal practice located in West Yorkshire run by a husband and wife team. A purpose built veterinary clinic with modern facilities and fantastic equipment means that the best possible care can be offered to patients.
They provide an up to date, caring and quality service for clients, giving clients the time and attention needed. With a brand new kennel area, new X-Ray equipment and an in house laboratory, they are always looking to improve their quality of care. They also work alongside local charities and rescue centres.
They require a vet to work on a permanent basis ideally full time, but would consider taking someone one to do 2 long days per week. There are no current plans for exact days required and they are reasonably flexible with this as you will be working to fill in time for the current vets to have more time off. There will be times where you will be covering the practice on a sole charge basis.
Normal shifts fall between 8:00 am and 7:30 pm and there is weekend work involved. Saturdays will be 10:30 am to 4 pm.
There will be times on call and also weekends on a rota basis. This is all flexible for the right person and will be discussed at a later date. You will be joining a team of 2 vets and 5 nurses.
You will be an experienced and confident small animal Vet with 3 to 5 years' experience, who can fit in and help out as required. You will be required to be fairly flexible when it comes to providing cover, but the practice is very flexible to tailor a package around the right candidate. Ideally, you would be happy to join the on call rota, but this is not essential and is negotiable.
Training is actively encouraged and they are always open for negotiation when it comes to CPD.
Our client understands that they have to be extremely competitive and are happy to keep an open mind and build the package around the individual and their experience.
The practice will require a locum whilst searching for a new permanent member of the team, which could give you the opportunity to start at the practice to see how you get on before you join on a permanent basis.
