Permanent Dental Veterinary Surgeon - Leeds

Practice: This is a Tier 3 Hospital based in West Yorkshire, just a short train ride from Leeds with easy access to the beautiful Peak District and the city of York less than 1 hour away. They are a high-standard primary care and mid-tier referral hospital with four satellite clinics. They are all about clinical quality and developing themselves to be the best they can be.
Their facilities and equipment are excellent and include:

- Full imaging suite including Xray, multiple ultrasound scanners, and onsite CT
- 4 theatres with a dedicated surgical nursing team and certificate-holder-led service
- Dental suite with X-ray, referral level equipment.
- Rigid/flexible endoscopy including laparoscopy
- Excellent in-patient facilities with separate dog/cat/exotic and day/long stay wards plus ICU and onsite lab with dedicated technician (Haem/biochem/coags/EPOC)
- Separate dog/cat waiting areas and 7 consult rooms
Role: Due to growth our client is looking for a vet with a keen interest in dentistry to drive the Dental Services at the practice.
Duties:
- Would involve promoting dental work and education in the practice, supporting the development of RVNs and other vets, carrying dental work to a high standard, and building the client education presence in this area.
- They are in the early stages of a dental referral service so they are looking for a candidate to support with this.
- This is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic vet to develop a special area of interest. Studying for certificates is encouraged.
- Their large and busy caseload means they can tailor a role to you as an individual based on your clinical interests and where you need support. Further education is supported.
Hours: 4-day week, 1:4 weekends with extra day off following, No OOH’s
Salary: They are offering a competitive salary of up to £70,000 p/a reflective of skills and experience.
