Permanent Deputy Head Veterinary Nurse - St Leonards-on-Sea

Practice: A well-established group of branches serving the Hastings and Bexhill area
Facilities: They provide out-of-hours emergency care from their 24-hour site to several practices in the area. They're equipped with a full range of diagnostic laboratory equipment, digital x-ray, Doppler ultrasound, endoscopy, and excellent facilities.
Team: They have a team of 25 to 35 talented people across the group, from Veterinary Surgeons to Registered and Trainee Student Nurses, as well as Receptionist and Support team function, which complete the team.
Role: A fantastic opportunity is now available for a Deputy Head Veterinary Nurse to join a highly motivated team at a well-established group of surgeries in the St Leonards area
Hours: This is a full-time position working 4 days per week, 1:6 weekends (both Saturday and Sunday), and no OOH hour work.
Duties:
- They are looking for an experienced nurse who can positively motivate and provide gold standard care to patients and clients, providing excellent client service through clear and effective communication with a compassionate approach, whilst always prioritising patient care.
- You will be required to undertake general nursing duties including inpatient care, anaesthesia, and nurse clinics as well as working with the Head Nurse to provide support and leadership to the nursing team.
- There will be additional tasks including clinical coaching, rotas, H&S, organisation of twice-yearly stocktake, and ensuring that all nursing protocols are maintained and complied with.
Applicant Requirements:
The ideal candidate will ideally have experience working in a similar environment with some supervisory experience and preferably clinical coaching. The role is also suitable for experienced Registered Veterinary Nurses looking to follow a natural progression. You will be able to lead by example by providing excellent client service whilst demonstrating exceptional nursing care to patients. This role requires excellent communication skills, a positive can-do attitude, a passion for leadership, the ability to work well within a team, and a strong work ethic.
Salary: Up to £26,000 per annum depending on experience
