Permanent Equine Clinical Director - Ashford
We are working with a well-established Equine Practice that is looking for an experienced Equine Vet to join their team as a Clinical Director in the Ashford area of Kent.
The Practice:
The practice is proud to provide the highest quality veterinary care within their modern, well-equipped group of equine practices while valuing the close relationship they have with their clients.
They provide a wide range of services, most of which can be provided at their clients’ yards or premises, or at the clinic where ample parking is available.
The practice has a range of diagnostic facilities including large examination rooms, operating suite, hard surface trot-up, and lunging area, stocks for reproductive work and other procedures, digital X-ray machine (clinic-based & portable), digital ultrasound machine, digital video endoscope, gastroscope, portable shockwave therapy, weighing scales, stabling, turnout paddocks and turning areas.
The Role and Candidate:
This is a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic, experienced equine veterinary surgeon to join an enthusiastic team, whilst working within easy reach of London, in the beautiful Kent countryside.
They have a varied caseload from professional to domestic and encourage your own workups, whilst working collaboratively as a team. Sports medicine experience/interest would be beneficial.
As well as managing clinical activities and supporting associates, you will be required to perform the duties of a practising Veterinary Surgeon working to high clinical standards, leading by example and being an excellent communicator. Part of your role will be ensuring the smooth working relationships between internal teams, management, and other group practices.
As Clinical Director you will be expected to understand the profit and loss account including the key factors that will affect the practice's profitability including sales, staffing, stock and debt management.
The successful candidate will work closely with a skilled team of vets (including diplomats and cert holders), supportive and hands-on nurses and dedicated receptionists to develop the practice, expand services and excel in their field of interest.
