Permanent Head Nurse - Harrow, West London
We are working with a client in Harrow, West London that is looking to recruit a full-time Registered Veterinary Nurse to join them in a permanent Head Nurse role. Joining our clients' professional, personable team in the practice, you’ll deliver exceptional care by going beyond consulting to listen and empathising, putting patients and clients first, always.
The Practice:
This practice is a two Vet branch with a nursing team made up of the Head Nurse (that's you!) with three Student Nurses and a PCA/CCA. They are a strong, tight-knit, and welcoming team.
The practice is based in an affluent area and has undergone a recent refurb. The team sees a varied caseload so this role would suit someone who has experience in a diverse role. This role feeds into a 24-hr hospital for all out-of-hours care.
The Role and Candidate
Joining our clients' professional, personable team in the practice, you’ll deliver exceptional care by going beyond consulting to listen and empathising, putting patients and clients first, always.
As well as your day-to-day duties within practice caring for your patients and clients, you will have the drive and ambition to develop the practice optimising the client and patient experience, promoting safety while training, developing, and leading the entire nursing team.
You’ll also be proactive in maintaining your own professional and clinical skills, carry out accurate and timely reporting and explore ways that the practice can further develop its standards.
As an RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse, you’ll already have good knowledge of how a dynamic, practice runs efficiently and effectively. Sharing our clients' values of being trustworthy, caring and progressive, you’ll also take the initiative in patient welfare and have caring, thoughtful communication skills. This is a full-time role, where you will work a 40 hour week with 1:6 full weekends. You will also be included on our bank holiday rota, and on-call rota should the night team require additional support. This is a fair share across all nurses in the region.

- £300 CPD allowance plus 2-days CPD leave
- RCVS and BVNA membership,
