- One practice is equipped with 3 consulting rooms, digital x-rays, ultrasound, In-house lab, sterilisation room, and state-of-the-art dental equipment.
- The second is recently refurbished with separate dog and cat wards, a dental suite, X-ray/Ultrasound, endoscopy, laparoscopy, and advanced orthopaedic and spinal equipment.
Team: You’d be welcomed by their dedicated team of 5 Veterinary Surgeons who are supported by experienced nurses and committed reception staff. They have a wealth of knowledge with RCVS advanced practitioners, and surgical certificate holders and they have a real passion for encouraging and supporting all personal development, including gaining certificates. Role: They are looking for a dynamic Head Nurse, who will be passionate about supporting and encouraging their team to deliver excellent veterinary nursing care and client support. You will be based at the first practice but work across both sites when needed to create a strong relationship with all team members.
Duties:
- This role includes setting a high standard of care and leading your team by example, Fire safety, Health and safety, Radiology, Ordering, Stock control etc.
- Along with usual RVN duties such as operating, nurse clinic, inpatient care etc, You will work closely alongside the senior management team including the Head nurse of their second branch.
- You will be expected to attend senior management meetings as well as area and regional meetings.

- They have an average working week of 40 hours Monday - Friday
- The typical working day runs in 9 hour shifts with a 1 hour unpaid lunch break. (Earliest start 8am, latest finish time 7pm)
- A fair rota share of 5/6 Saturday shifts a year from 8am to 12:30pm.

Applicant Requirements:
- They are looking for someone who is competent and confident at general anaesthetics, maintaining orthopaedic kit, and someone who can work as part of a team and on their own initiative.
- You will have a passion for gold standard care and be happy to work closely with the current referral team of nurses and vets.
Salary: Competitive Salary of up to £34,000 p/a (DOE)
