We are working with a well-established small animal veterinary practice that has been serving the communities around Kingston-Upon-Thames for over 20 years. Our client is looking for an experienced Head Registered Veterinary Nurse to join them on a full-time permanent basis, the clinic has a good surgical and medical caseload, which will enable you to develop your nursing skills fully.

The Practice:

Our clients' practice is conveniently located in South London and their nursing team offers free advice and services that will help patients lead a long, happy, and healthy life.

The practice offers a wide range of services, including dentistry, x-rays, and microchipping. As part of the Richmond region, patients also have access to emergency care, as the practice is supported by a 24-hour practice.

Their mission to deliver progressive, around the clock care means their employees have the very best equipment and treatment options available, including in-house MRI machines and state-of-the-art operating theatres. They provide ongoing support to their teams, both in practice and through a dedicated training centre. This empowers you to get the very best from the advanced equipment while being on your journey to veterinary excellence.

The Role and Candidate: 

Our client is looking for a Head Veterinary Nurse to join their friendly team on a full-time permanent role where you will be working 40 hours a week over 5 days and you will also be part of a weekend rota, covering 1:4 full weekends.

The clinic has good surgical and medical caseload, which will enable you to develop your nursing skills fully. You will be supported by a large team of nursing staff including RVNs, SVNs, and Patient Care Assistants.

The role will involve all aspects of nursing as well as assisting with training student nurses through clinical coaching. This position provides you with the opportunity to develop nursing clinics and use your initiative to promote new ideas; more responsibilities will form part of this role with full support being provided by the nursing team.
