Role:

  • Our client is really pleased to be able to open an exciting position for an enthusiastic, caring, and compassionate Veterinary Nurse to join their team as Lead Veterinary Nurse in a busy, 3 vets, 4.5 nurses small animal veterinary practice
  • The position would suit an RVN who enjoys delivering a high level of patient and client care and enjoys teaching student nurses.
  • Some previous experience in leadership is required but further training will be provided for the successful candidate. 
  • As Lead Nurse, you will oversee the nursing team ensuring that daily tasks are completed in a timely and productive manner.
  • As well as leading and managing a nursing team with wide-ranging levels of experience, you will also play a crucial part in the day-to-day leadership and management of the practice.  

Candidate:

  • An enthusiastic Lead Veterinary Nurse who is passionate about delivering high standards of nursing care to patients and driving exceptional client care throughout the practice. 
  • A key player in directing workflows throughout the practice, supporting the nursing and vet teams within the practice and region, to ensure the smooth running of the day 
  • Someone who is both an excellent leader and a strong clinical nurse, to encourage and develop the nursing team 
  • Someone who is keen to continually improve their own professional knowledge and experience, with the ability to enable knowledge sharing across the team.  
  • Someone with strong organisational skills, with the ability to organise and manage a clinical team 
  • Hold an appropriate nursing qualification and be currently registered with the RCVS 

Hours: This role is for a full-time position of 40.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with the weekends on a rota included in your contracted hours. There is no OOH or on-call involved. They will make this rota as flexible as possible to accommodate your personal commitments.

Salary: Competitive up to £35,000 dependant on experience
