Permanent Head Veterinary Nurse - Scunthorpe

We are working with a friendly small animal practice in Scunthorpe that is looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their well-established practice. They are looking for an experienced RVN to join them as their Head Veterinary Nurse, the role will involve all aspects of nursing as well as assisting with training the student nurses through clinical coaching. 

The Practice:

Our client has a central large branch practice that has 4 consult rooms and, 1 surgical theatre, a digital x-ray room, large prep area. With facilities that include digital x-ray, ultrasound, laparoscopic equipment in-house blood machines. They have two branch surgeries that generate client contact and caseload.

The Role and Candidate:

Our client is looking for an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their team as the Head Veterinary Nurse. The role will involve all aspects of nursing as well as assisting with training the student nurses through clinical coaching. This position provides you with the opportunity to develop nursing clinics and use your initiative to promote new ideas; more responsibilities will form part of this role with full support being provided by the nursing team.

This is a full-time permanent position, covering 40 hours a week over 5 days. You will also be part of a weekend rota, covering 1:4 full weekends and a fair share of bank holidays and on-call.

The Package:
