Permanent Large Animal Vet - Devon

We are currently working on behalf of an independent large animal practice in Devon, that is looking to recruit a large animal Veterinary Surgeon to join their dedicated team of 7 Vets. 

The Practice:

The practice's mission is to provide high-quality healthcare for farm animals by delivering a service that is based on personal, professional, and affordable Veterinary medicine. 

The health and wellbeing of their patients are at the heart of the practice and to achieve this they aim to build and maintain a strong relationship between clients and animals. 

Farm animal services include fertility, herd and flock health, mastitis, lab analysis, nutrition, lameness, camelids and carprine, surgery, and TB testing. 

The practice has 7 dedicated farm Vets, a TB tester, and a dedicated farm reception team. 

The Role and Candidate:

This is a full-time role to work 8 am - 5 pm Monday - Friday with 1-hour lunch. 

OOH is shared equally between the Vets (currently 1:6, soon to be 1:7 from March)

On a weekend on-call, (Saturday - Monday) you would remain on duty until 1 pm Monday morning. Following an on-call, you would receive a long weekend off. 

This role would suit a 2020 graduate or a farm Vet with lots of experience. The practice is a friendly and supportive team, so most importantly they are looking for someone with a 'can-do' attitude who is willing to get involved in all the duties. 

The Package:

In return, the practice is offering a competitive salary dependent on experience + 25 holidays + Bank holidays. The role includes a vehicle, and the practice is able to assist in sourcing accommodation.
