Permanent Lead Registered Veterinary Nurse - Ashford

Facilities/Services: They provide routine primary care services, and emergency care 24 hours a day, 365 days a year with VetsNow onsite providing continuity in cases and patient care. They offer keyhole surgery, laser therapy, and acupuncture treatments.
Role: They are looking for a proactive and experienced nurse who loves theatre and shares our passion for incredible standards of care with a gentle, kind, and empathetic nature.
Duties:
- You will work closely with the Clinical Nurse Manager and other lead nurses to implement, and continually improve, a procedure plan that supports efficiency and an excellent patient journey.
- You'll support the team in undertaking tasks such as consistent ASA scoring, completion of a surgical safety checklist, and the introduction of lower flow anaesthesia as standard.
- As part of their aim to fully utilise their nurses and patient care assistants, you'll be developing team knowledge and roles within the theatre, including encouraging appropriate CPD completion.
- You will also be responsible for performing regular audits (including a review of Halo reporting where appropriate), sharing the results with the practice senior leadership team, and making changes where appropriate.
Hours: Full-time, 40.78 hours per week, 2 in 9 Saturday shifts (one as TOIL)
Salary: Up to £31,605.50 p/a (DOE)
