Permanent Lead Veterinary Nurse - Leeds

Practice: This is a Tier 3 Hospital based in West Yorkshire, just a short train ride from Leeds with easy access to the beautiful Peak District and the city of York less than 1 hour away. They are high-standard primary care and mid-tier referral hospital with four satellite clinics. They are all about clinical quality and developing themselves to be the best they can be.
Role: They are looking for an enthusiastic Lead Veterinary Nurse to run the dynamic surgical team on a day-to-day basis. This is a brilliant opportunity for a passionate RVN to take the next step in their leadership journey or an established leader.
Responsibilities of the lead surgical nurse involve:
- Conducting monthly 121 with your line reports
- Conducting annual PDRs
- Contributing to the nurse leadership team at Abbey House
- Working collaboratively with the Clinical Nurse Manager
- Controlling Surgical stock levels
- Supporting and training with the surgical team
- Oversee equipment maintenance from a surgical aspect
- Liaise with owners regarding any surgical queries.
Hours:
- The role is a full-time permanent position
- 4-day week (4x10 hours days).
- 1:8 full weekends
- 2 bank holidays a year
