Permanent Lead Veterinary Surgeon - Leicester

We are working with a client with a well-established group of veterinary practices that are looking to recruit a permanent Veterinary Surgeon on a full-time basis. Our client is seeking a Lead Veterinary Surgeon to help grow this practice, branch partnership is also available. 

The Practice:

Our client has a very long-standing and friendly client base across their three sites. Each practice has a fully supportive team that shares the enthusiasm for clients and patients.

You will experience a varied caseload at all of their lovely practices which are fully equipped with digital x-ray, ultrasound, multiparameter, and much more.

Here, you won’t just be part of the team, you’ll be part of a nationwide family. Our client is part of a network of practices that include 22 state-of-the-art 24-hour centres that are all home to a family of professionals who provide a high standard of care. You won’t just help to deliver care, you’ll deliver exceptional care for your patients and clients. And you’ll do it all supported by your colleagues and some of the best training and development in the industry.

The Role and Candidate:

Joining our clients' professional, personable team, you will deliver exceptional care by going beyond consulting to listen and empathising, putting patients and clients first, always. Our client is seeking a Lead Veterinary Surgeon to help grow this practice, branch partnership is also available. 

As well as your day-to-day duties within practice caring for your patients and clients, you will play a key role in leading and managing the team. You will have the drive and ambition to develop the practice client base, ensuring high standards of care are always delivered.

As a qualified MRCVS, you’ll already have good experience gained in small animal practice. You’ll be competent in clinical examination and surgery and confident working in sole charge or as part of the wider team. Sharing our clients' values being trustworthy, caring, and progressive, you will have all the softer skills essential to working effectively and empathetically, such as good communication skills, mediation experience, and the ability to share knowledge and lead by being an outstanding, positive example to others.

Branch Partnership opportunities within this practice are also available where you can own part of the clinic, have complete clinical freedom whilst receiving full support from the wider network.

The Package:

In return, our client is offering an excellent package that includes (Full-Time Equivalent):

  • Salary up to £65,000 p/a for Lead Vet position
  • £6,600 accommodation allowance
  • £2,500 vehicle allowance or vehicle
  • £1,500 CPD allowance plus 3 days CPD leave
  • VDS, RCVS, BVA fees paid
  • 5 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays 
  • Fantastic career progression
