Permanent Lead Veterinary Surgeon - Maidstone

We are working with a client with a practice that is based about 10 miles from Maidstone in Kent that is looking to recruit a full-time small animal Veterinary Surgeon on a permanent basis. Our client is looking for an experienced vet to join this team as their Lead Veterinary Surgeon.

The Practice:

Our client is a rapidly growing, small animal veterinary practice. They are a dedicated practice that is committed to not only investing in state-of-the-art equipment to give patients access to the best possible facilities, but they are also dedicated to being able to offer the best possible care for all pets through their dedicated and experienced vets and nurses.

This practice provides a range of services, including microchipping, neutering, and vaccinations. The practice also has access to a wider range of services provided by the group, such as dentistry, ECG, and endoscopy.

The train station is a short walk away, which provides direct transport links into central London and is also close to the beautiful Kentish countryside.

The Role and Candidate:

Our client is looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to come and join their practice as a Lead Veterinary Surgeon. This is an exciting opportunity to come and build your own business! This is an exciting challenge for an enterprising Veterinary Surgeon who wants to put their own stamp on a brand new clinic. 

You will have access to VVS (Virtual Vet Specialist) which will equip you with specialist knowledge and support. You will also receive support from and will be working alongside other practices in the area.

This ideal candidate should be a motivated individual who possesses leadership qualities, excellent communication, and a passion for patient and client care. Strong management and mentor skills are essential as you will play a crucial part within the team. You must be a confident sole charge Veterinary Surgeon.

This role covers 39 hours a week over 4 days. This shift pattern also including 1:3 Saturdays.

Further career development including certificate study is encouraged and supported and partnership opportunities are available for the right person.

The Package:

In return, our client is a competitive package of up to £60,000 per annum (depending on experience), which includes accommodation allowance and a vehicle or vehicle allowance. Other benefits on offer include:
