Permanent Medical/Inpatient Veterinary Surgeon - Wakefield

Location: Wakefield, West Yorkshire

Practice Type: Part of a group

  • The practice is a 24/7 Tier 3 Veterinary Hospital. They welcome referrals from across Yorkshire and they are proud to provide their own 24-hour on-site emergency care through their dedicated ECC night team. They offer a high-quality primary care service, including consultations, preventative healthcare, vaccinations, routine, non-routine and laparoscopic surgery, dentistry, and imaging (x-ray, ultrasound, endoscopy, CT, visiting MRI). They are also able to offer middle-tier referrals in soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery, ophthalmology, exotics and dermatology and they have their own state-of-the-art rehabilitation centre with physiotherapy, hydrotherapy, and laser therapy.
  • They have a fantastic team across all 11 of their sites, and they all support each other. They often discuss clinical cases and get involved in social events. They have a large Vet team and are supported by experienced and dedicated nursing and front of house teams. 6 of their Vets are working towards certificates in Surgery, Imaging, Dermatology, Medicine, ECC and Ophthalmology.

Role: They are looking for a Vet with an interest in medicine and inpatient care to support the continuity of care for their client’s hospitalised patients.

Responsibilities:

  • This involves examination, making care plans, and communicating with clients, as well as liaising with other vets in the team when imaging, investigative, or surgical procedures are required.
