  • This 24/7 Tier 3 Veterinary Hospital serves as a trusted referral centre across Yorkshire, providing round-the-clock emergency care through a dedicated ECC night team. The hospital offers a wide range of services, including primary care, consultations, preventative healthcare, vaccinations, surgery (routine, non-routine, and laparoscopic), dentistry, and advanced imaging (X-ray, ultrasound, endoscopy, CT, and visiting MRI).
  • In addition to first-opinion services, the hospital also provides middle-tier referrals in soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery, ophthalmology, exotics, and dermatology. A state-of-the-art rehabilitation centre is also available, offering physiotherapy, hydrotherapy, and laser therapy.

Team: The team consists of experienced professionals across multiple locations, fostering a supportive environment with regular case discussions and social events. The hospital values clinical excellence, prioritising patient care and well-being. A minimum 15-minute consultation model is in place, and the hospital is proudly recognised as a Cat-Friendly Clinic. The Role: Permanent Inpatient/Medical Veterinary Surgeon

  • A well-established veterinary hospital seeks a dedicated Inpatient/Medical Veterinary Surgeon to join their team.
  • This role focuses on inpatient care and medicine, ensuring continuity of care for hospitalised patients.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for patient examinations, treatment planning, and client communication, while also coordinating with colleagues for imaging, investigations, or surgical procedures as required.

The Candidate: This position may be particularly well-suited to a recent graduate with a passion for internal medicine, offering excellent opportunities for professional growth with the support of experienced colleagues. Additionally, the role involves overseeing the handover process to the night team and handling emergency cases when needed.

Hours:

  • 3 days per week (7:45 am - 8:15 pm, Monday to Wednesday) plus 1 in 4 weekends.
  • A full-time option is also available.

Salary: They are offering a competitive salary of up to £60,000 per annum FTE (dependent on experience)
