We are currently recruiting on behalf of a dedicated, mixed practice based in Staffordshire, that is looking for a full-time mixed Veterinary Surgeon to join their team on a permanent basis.
This practice is well-established, with excellent facilities both in their small animal and large animal departments. The small animal site has three consultation rooms, a fully equipped operating theatre, diagnostic imaging room with a digital X-ray room and two portable ultrasound scanners, a dental suite equipped with specialised dental table and ultrasonic dental scaler, polisher and drill, larger kennel area for in-patients, laboratory.
The practice provides veterinary services to a wide range of large animal clients from large dairy herds to small holdings and hobby farmers. The large animal department provides a 24-hour emergency service, routine fertility visits, TB testing, disease surveillance, herd and flock health, on-farm surgery and equine vaccinations.
This is a full-time, permanent, Veterinary Surgeon position, working a 4.5-day week, plus 1:4 weekends, with 1:4 out of hours. The vet will see approximately 60% small animal work to 40% large animal with a small amount of equine.

The practice is looking for an ambitious individual with excellent communication skills who is passionate about progressing their career within mixed practice. The successful candidate will have a varied caseload with the opportunity to work across all areas of the business with a support team of friendly like-minded colleagues.
The position would ideally suit a more experienced candidate who may be considering a certificate in the near future. A graduate support programme may also be considered for the right person.
