Role: Permanent Veterinary Surgeon
Type: Mixed Animal - The Split is roughly 50/50 farm and equine. However, individual interests are encouraged.
Location: Burnley, Lancashire
Practice: A well-established mixed first opinion practice, running their Farm and Equine Department and Companion Animal Department totally separately.
Team: You will be joining a friendly professional clinical team. The practice has 3 Clinical Directors and employs around 80 staff.
Facilities: They offer full support and services required in both the farming and equine environments.
Role: They are looking for a full-time Farm and Equine Vet to join their friendly professional clinical team.
Hours: They are looking for a full-time Vet, however, they can offer a degree of flexibility if you would prefer not to work a 4.5 day week, options and ideas can be explored and discussed.
The Rota:
- The rota is 2 in 5 weekends.
- The first weekend: You are on call Friday night first and working Saturday morning, then from 12 noon, you will be second on-call until Monday morning.
- The second weekend: You are second on-call Friday night and First on-call Saturday and Sunday * full weekend
- Followed by 3 totally undisturbed weekends.
- Normal week 4.5 days, with 8.30 to 5.30ish with one weekday night on call.
- The week following a full weekend on Duty you get an extra half-day off on a Friday.
- They are a growing practice and as they employ more vets the rota will only improve.

Salary: The salary range should be between £30,000 for a new graduate and up to £55,000 for a full-time experienced vet. Certificate holders may receive an enhanced salary. In addition to your salary you also get a four-wheel drive, laptop, and mobile phone.
